The Saver & Prosper program is designed to allow members to share their membership benefits with friends, family and acquaintances and at the same time earn their selves a nice little income. They simply enter their friends details into the qualifying form to see if they qualify and press send, the reservation centre will then come back to the member or directly to their friends to arrange and confirm their holiday. Then if their friends decide to become a member we send them two hundred pounds in cash.

The Discovery Concept

Discovery is a three and a half year “test drive” membership intended to give its members the opportunity to experience the quality, which is usually only available to owners of exclusive holiday clubs or holiday ownership, through use of our presentation weeks.

The marketing departments of the participating resorts highly subsidise the cost of the presentation weeks to give the member a cost of only forty eight pounds; In exchange for the member taking a presentation of the resort facilities and system.

The Rental Week Concept

Through Discovery members may take as many rental weeks as they wish during their membership period, we have attained our exceptional prices through three main strategies:

• Eliminating the traditional development and marketing costs of the tour operators.
• Exploiting the buying power of the collective memberships and individual customers that Timelinx, the holiday club people service.
• Utilising industry surplus.

Eliminating traditional marketing and development costs

A traditional package tour operator will construct the price of a holiday based on the necessary ingredients such as accommodation, flights and transfers. In this we are no different. However the price of traditional package holidays also include a substantial amount of marketing and development costs.

A traditional tour operator takes the necessary ingredients of a holiday and having achieved this with at least three months to a year of forward planning has to then set about retailing and marketing the finished product. This involves printing brochures, finding a network of travel agents to display them, paying staff to ensure that the brochures are prominently displayed and paying the travel agents up to 20% of the retail price in commission. National advertising campaigns are also undertaken to expose the product to the general public and promote sales. All of theses costs are passed on to the consumer and result in a significant increase in the retail price of the holiday.

Discovery on the other hand is able to pass benefits to its customers through the elimination of these costs. In our concept we are primarily based on the Internet, we avoid the need to advertise, print, distribute brochures to travel agents and pay them commission, hence always delivering a substantial discount on the price paid by the general public.

The Buying power

This is the simplest factor involved in the concept. An individual purchasing an item will pay the normal retail price. The Timelinx Group of Companies however, have the collective purchasing power of several constantly growing memberships of thousands of families, enabling us to purchase in bulk and in advance at the very best prices available.

Utilising industry surplus

It is a fact that any hotel, resort, cruise ship or accommodation provider has normally less than eighty percent occupancy. However, their overheads remain the same whether they are eighty percent or one hundred percent occupied.

The Timelinx’s Global Distribution System assists hotels, resorts, cruise ships and accommodation providers by purchasing the surplus space at a discounted price and offering that discounted space only to our members hence because we don’t offer these highly discounted prices to the general public they don’t affect the accommodation suppliers general market. It is what we call a win-win situation!
